hard to see, but this is the hat channel hole. It is missing a small area of the lip.

40,xxx miles. Serial number is 71181.
It has a rust hole in the right hat channel and evidence of a repair below the door opening.
The floors, tool box and cargo area are in good condition with no evidence of repairs.
Paint is old but not too bad. Hood was repainted. Good original top and seats.
Good windshield. Engine runs great. Jeep stops, steers and shifts fine.
Tires are about 3/4 tread. This vehicle is in the condition as it was released from the
US government approximately 3 decades ago. It belonged to a marine who served in Korea
and was in the battle at Chosin reservoir. It has always had heated indoor storage,
is well maintained and was used on a regular basis. The body repairs listed are small and minor.
This is a very rare find as it is an original, unmolested, unrestored 1954 Military vehicle.
